Updated the game post-jam with quality of life improvements and bug fixes. A full change list can be viewed here but some notable highlights can be seen below.
- Combat is more streamlined
- Sword swings faster and in the last direction moved
- Each character can swing swords independently
- When a character leaves the rat's area but another character is still there, they will chase the other character
- Enemies can no longer see the player through walls
- Miscellaneous changes
- Made it so that the rope sprite flips when characters swap sides
- Changed the way that pick up text appears on screen
- An animation now plays when items are swapped between the characters
- Post processing to make it look like a retro display
- Added a credits screen including special thanks
- Added loading screens which displays some random tips, lore, or trivia
- Added scene transitions
- Bug fixes
- Fixed bug where a rat can still damage the player shortly after death
- Fixed bug where rats can be hit through walls
- Physics is no longer tied to framerate but rather real time
